Keep on working

Keeping the region flowing relies on a vast behind the scenes operation, involving hundreds of reservoirs, treatment works and pumping stations along with thousands of kilometres of water pipes and sewers.

We’re always working to make improvements across our water and sewer networks and have a continual programme of upgrades, repairs and enhancements to make sure we deliver a reliable and efficient service. When we carry out our larger projects we’ll get in touch with the local community to provide upfront information about the work we’re planning to carry out –  this could be via letters, emails and leaflets or through holding  local community drop-in sessions.

We adapted to a more digital approach during Covid-19 restrictions to make sure we could continue to engage with the local communities around our projects. Things are slowly getting back to normal, but we know that work and family life can sometimes make it difficult to attend local drop-in sessions and the digital approach is welcomed – we hope you find it informative and helpful.
